What the crawler requests
Public sitemaps and individual public file pages.
Never requested: downloads, download links, search pages, logins, forms. The crawler does not try to get around bot challenges or access controls.
Rate
At most one request every 3 seconds per website; a higher Crawl-delay in your robots.txt is honoured.
Verifying requests
Genuine requests carry the headers Signature-Agent, Signature-Input (with tag="web-bot-auth") and Signature.
The signature covers @authority and signature-agent and can be checked with the key from the directory above. A request that only claims the “KeboGuard” user agent without a valid signature is not from us.
